  1. hi all,

    having strange issue and can't seem to fix it with what ever video converter, especially mediacoder. i am trying to encod vob to avi with x264 codec and copy audio. but mediacoder always give me an error try a different codec. i do but it still dosen't work any idea's. it dosn't seem to matter wich program i use i can't get audio to work right.

    Is the VOB from an actual DVD file structure, or do you just have the single VOB? If the former, use VOB2MPEG to first convert the VOBs to an MPEG video, which you can then convert however you prefer.
    If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?

    First of all, I agree with Ai Haibara - always best to properly convert any .vob file to .mpg first before working with it. And I say this regardless of whether it's from a DvD structure or stand-alone. VOB files can be tricky if not converted properly.

    Second of all, that could be your problem right there. Unless you know what you're doing with x264VFW, try a different container which is better suited for H.264 video, such as MKV (Matroska) or MP4.
