what are you useing to convert? ... have you tried to play it in a dvd player ( like power dvd ) ... what format ( codac ) is the orginal avi?
-
i have tried TMPGEnc and the Panasonic One
Yes, when I burn it with Nero it plays the same as the mpeg1 I tell it to burn
I am not sure what codac they are..how can i tell...i thought 5.0 was backwards compatable? -
open the avi in tmpenc .. hit settings/advanced and double click source ... you should be able to see the movie .. if not then their is somthing wrong with how your system plays back the movie ( to save time you can chose just a 1 or 2 min section to encode here so you dont have to keep waiting 8 hours to see if it works ).. other than that the best i can say is to double check that every setting ( bitrate , frame rate , frame size , etc ) falls in full specs when you encode. ....
hmm .... you could open the avi in virtualdub ( freeware just search in google or somthing ) and then export the avi from their to see if it's somthing with the orginal encodeing. ...
check codacs section under tools here and get the Nimo Codec pack ... wont hurt anything to install it and it has an uninstall , just in case... *shrug* -
thank you so much..I downloaded the Nemo codac pack and it worked. If I was around you i would kiss your hand
