Been looking for a way to easily edit my hundreds of 1-5 min mts format movie clips in Vegas pro 10. without having to going through two rendering steps.
Found a plugin here http://sony.vegas.1.free.fr/ thats does exactly that for vegas 9 and 8 but not 10Anyone know if there is a similar plugin/script for vegas 10 somewhere out there?

Ah never mind seems its possible to do inherently in vegas10 anyway! Problem solved...Here is how i did it if anyone is interested:
- Capture or import your high-definition clips.
- Start a new project.
- Add your high-definition clips to the timeline.
- Render your clips to an appropriate proxy format (I used the Batch render script here with the render regions option enabled as I wanted separate clips, use any format working for you).
- Now Edit your proxy files.
when you are done: - Right-click the proxy file in the Project Media window.
- Choose Replace from the shortcut menu.
- Replace proxy files with original HD clips
- Render away!
Its a bit of work but works fine. -
Is there a way to automatically add regions around clips though? Kind of tedious adding them yourself
Actually never mind, downloaded streamplugin linked in my first post anyway and tried it. Seems to work for vegas pro 10 aswell!Last edited by Domiel; 21st Nov 2010 at 10:38.
