Im Converting from PAL to ntsc in order to author an NTSC DVD for a client and everything goes well with DGpulldown, the resultant video looks awesome. but when i Import the video into Encore it cuts the Video Short.
My workflow is - .mov to mpeg4 in mpegstreamclip - mpeg4 720x 576 to widescreen mpeg2 720x480 in avidemux - and then 25 fps to 29.97 fps with DGPulldown. The video i get in the end should by all accounts be perfect for authoring but what happens is encore keeps the video at the same length but slows it down so that a bunch of footage at the end gets cut. Its really weird.
Does this happen to anyone else? And if so how can i fix it? It is bugging the hell out of me.

Maybe I'm wrong, but to me,
it seems the actual problem is in Encore,
not in DGpulldown. -
I think I agree. But i tried Nero Vision as well and no dice there either. Of course.. Nero Vision.. what a joke.
funny thing is if i do 24fps to 29.97pfs on dgpulldown encore plays the whole thing but slows it down. Are there maybe any other DVD authoring options out there? just need to make a simple ntsc dvd (no menu, one video looped) whats out there that I can use? (freeware, my boss is a cheapskate) -

If something messes up there (the video isn't accepted or it aborts before it finishes), then there's something wrong with your video.
I think I remember reading something about Encore having problems with non-standard pulldown. I hope your MPEG-4 is lossless. If not you're using a time-wasting and unnecessarily video-degrading step when you can go directly from MOV to MPEG-2.
