    can any remind me , what version of windows media encoder (older version) which can convert media stream to ASF format . and where can i download it.

    I noticed nobody had responded to your question yet. In another post they suggested using windows media encoder 4.1. They suggested using google and doing a search on windows media tools 4.1. Hope this helps.

    they all can. what make's a difference is if you tell it that it will be streamed from a windows media server(or some such...) rename a wmv file to asf and it will be pretty much the same.
