adding watermark to videos

Hello to all,

I want to add a watermark to a video without re-encoding it as it will degrade the quality.
The container is mkv .the video is AVC and audio is AAC.any help will be appreciated

You can use softsubs e.g. srt, ssa etc...

From the below forum i learned that u can use avisynth to add logo.

so can i use Xvid4psp which is avisynth based to add logo which is more user friendly.

I thought you didn't want to re-encode and degrade the quality.

You have 2 choices:
1. Use soft subs (which can easily be switched off by the viewer) or
2. Re-encode with watermark hard-subbed into the video.

No other alternative.

ok flimboss80 i want to do it the second way.i want watermark to appear at the rightmost bottom plz explain it.

If the video's going to be viewed online within a web browser, it might be possible for an embedded flash player to overlay a logo on playback.

The jwplayer and YouTube logos at the bottom are overlayed by the player, the NASA logo is on the original encoded video.
