  1. The menus of several DVDs I've authored recently (using Magix Movie Edit Pro 16 Plus) don't seem to get played properly with any of my software players.

Before burning (with the excellent ImgBurn) I routinely first play the DVD from HD by r-clicking its folder and using Play with VLC media player.(latest version, 1.1.4, and previously 1.0.5). Somtimes I'll play with PowerDVD or WMP.

But with any of these players, I'm getting the same problem. The main menu plays fine, and so does the DVD iself. And so does the first page of 'chapters'. But when I click the icon that should open the second page of chapters, the player doesn't respond. Nor does the icon below work, to return to the main menu.

The menu in MEP plays fine and also in my hardware DVD player.

Anyone have similar experience please? Does the most likely cause seem to be a bug in MEP? Or is this a common problem with 'lower levels' of menus, regardless of the authoring application?

  2. It's a commercial program with tech support included. Did you try them? I doubt you'll find too many people around here that have ever heard of this program, much less used it.
