Hey guys, I've always been a huge fan of this forum, just never gotten around to registering..
Anyways theres a slight problem with my videos...
I'm using the recorder called Dxtory. (Alot better than Fraps). So anyways, I play at 1920x1080 with all settings maxed and I record at 1920x1080 @ 30FPS Raw uncompressed file.
I open up vegas and do all the jazz, I reencode it to 720p, but now the file that was just reencoded, the text is all blurry and not good quality as 720p should be. I also try to record @ 1280x720 but the raw file is also blurry and not good quality.
Not sure what I'm doing wrong here.
Thanks.

This sounds like a resolution problem . If you capture at 1280x720 uncompressed - and it's already blurry, then exporting at 1280x720 can't be any better even without compression. Try exporting at 1920x1080

You may get slightly better results using different resize algorithms (outside of vegas) , but the difference won't be huge.

Also what settings did you use to export ?

I want to export it to 1280x720 because its alot faster. Theres a bunch of CLEAR 720p videos of games on youtube, I want to be able to achieve that.

 Settings wise was WMV11 VBR @ 100%

Edit: Also when I view the uncompressed 1080p version its fine (Fullscreen), 720p uncompressed is blurry when in fullscreen mode
