    hi! all. i haf a mkv movie file which when i play on my tv using my media player, the sound was very soft. is there
    anyway to increase the volume of the audio so that i dun haf to crank up my tv's volume to over 50% to get slightly audible
    sound.

    Extract the audio using MKVextractGUI and then, depending on the type of audio, use an audio editor to normalise it.
    Then, use MKVmerge to put the audio back into the MKV.

    Hi! i've downloaded both the software but when i open MKVextractGUI, it prompts me to install MKVmerge.exe into the same folder so i copy the MKVtoolnix.exe into the folder but still got the message. anyway to provide tutorial? i'm quite new to this MKV method

    Try it this way. Install Mkvtoolnix. Then copy MkvExtractGui into the mkvtoolnix install folder.
