What settings for converting videos for rtsp (Darwin streaming server)?

Hello together =))

Could someone please help me with my problem? I don't get it to work...
I have a Darwin Stream Server running on Suse 11.3. The sample videos are working perfect, but i don't get it to work to convert my own video files to stream them over rstp.

I'm working now on this for around 3 weeks =(
I know already, that i have to use the mp4 package for the files.
And i know that i can use h263 or h264 for the video.
And i have read that i have to add a "hint" for the video in the mp4 file, that i can stream it with Darwin Stream Server.

But i can't watch my files (converted with ffmpeg to mp4 with h263 video, no audio, and added a hint with mp4box) over rtsp...

What settings in ffmpeg and mp4box do i have to use to convert the movie to get it worked to stream it with darwin stream server???

I would not have a problem to use another program, the only thing is, that the converting program(s) need to work with Commandline (like cmd), and it doesn't matter if i would need Windows or Suse as opperating System (but i would like Windows more).

And one thing anymore: (I don't know if it is important). The converted movie file have to be the same file, like the files on http://m.youtube.com - because i need to stream the movies for mobile phones.

What ffmpeg settings have you tried? Just default or?

I use vlc with darwin and it works fine, see example:

thank you for your replay =))

I didn't want to stream a live video (but its good to know that this is working with vlc, too =) ). I only wanted to stream a video file, like the sample videos of Darwin Stream Server.

I used the following settings with ffmpeg:

ffmpeg.exe -i movie.avi -f 3gp -vcodec h263 -s 176x144 -an -y output.3gp

And the beginning movie was flash movie so i converted it into a avi format with the ffmpeg GUI S.U.P.E.R

And after that, i only add a hint with mp4box to the output.3gp file.

(I'm sorry, but i think i don't have a too big known about movies and file formats)

VLC works with files too. That was just a live video sample.

And it should work to convert from flash directly in ffmpeg. What ffmpeg version are you using?

ohh ok, i din't know that i could use ffmpeg directly to convert from flash =))

I'm using ffmpeg v.0.5.0-pre1 build 4741

Can you post the details from the samples that works on your phone? Use mediainfo and open video, under view->text and copy paste all info in this thread.
