I have over 100GB of family video going back almost 3 years that I am now beginning to edit.
My problem is with software that shows the date & time for my DV AVI files.
I am using Windows 7 x64 and Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.
I have DVDate 7.1.1 which I have used for years without an issue.
However, when I try to open a DV AVI file in DVDate, it says "seems to not be a correct AVI file".
It have 4 selections for the codec to use and none of them work.
I also tried a program called DVMP Pro 5 (Demo) and it also gave me an error message.
I can playback my DV AVI files in MPC Home Cinema no problem.
I have FFDSHow installed and DV set to the libvacodec. Nothing changes if I disable it in FFDShow, either.
I have tried the Panasonic DV Codec and the Cedocida DV Codec.
I even downloaded the DirectShow Filter Manager, removed the 3 entries for DV muxer, splitter and decoder. I clicked the option to "Restore Standard DirectX codecs".
If I open my DV AVI files in DVDate on my wife's laptop (Windows 7 Home x64) it works fine.
Does anyone else have other ideas?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!
