Can I play a multichannel mpeg svcd on my pioneer ns-dv55 dvd? and how does it sound? any experience? Same as digital? And another question: what does 2 channel mono (at the specs of vcd) mean? isnt this just stereo? Last question: whats the excactly difference between the size in svcd and vcd? how much extra %? I do not know about the Pioneer DV 55.

On a VCD, you can haveeither 2 mono channel or 1 stereo channel. 2 mono channel is different because you could have for ex. 2 diffrent language, 1 on mono track 1 and the other on track 2.

What do you mean by difference in space between VCD & SVCD ?

If you mean how much of a movie can you fit on an SVCD, it varies depending on the parameters you use when you create the MPG file, as a rule of thumb, I usually fit about 45 mn movie per SVCD.
