    I have philips DVP 3140 player,could you please tell me how can i copy divx format movies into DVD,I have triend to copy it through nero but its not working, please help

  2. You just burn a data disc with the divx file. What do you mean "its not working"? Does the player give some kind of error message when you put the disc in? Does it show the filename? Do you get get an error when you try to play the file? Do you get audio and no video? Video but no audio?

  3. Thanks for the reply,actually i have already divx format movie in my laptop hard disk, i will tell you the all steps.

    -open nero and then use copy data disk option and burn.
    -after burn,inserted into my DVD player.
    -DVD player read the file and show the file name.
    -when i play it then after taking some time,it start again and give me the file name once again.

    You have MUCH reading to do. Read the manual for your player. It will tell you what type of Divx file the player likes....mostly it is the audio used in the Divx file that is most important. Then run the Divx file through GSpot and compare the player specs to the Divx file.

    Another thing to note: Divx recently added h.264 (MPEG 4 part 10) to their original Divx/Xvid (MPEG 4 part 2) package. Your player will not play h.264 encoded video.
