  1. How do I clear the Recent Files list in Avidemux in Vista?

How do I prevent Avidemux from having this list?

I hope the developers will have an option to prevent from having this list.

From what I can gather the recent files list is stored in the config file, which is in the avi demux folder under users\youraccount\appdata\avidemux

This used to be a plain text file, so you could open it in notepad and clear the entries. It now appears to be in some custom format, so i don't know how you can edit it nicely. You could try deleting the file (or renaming as a test) to see if ti creates a new one. Of course this will also kill any custom settings you have.

  5. Many thanks. I am now using my cleaner to delete this Config file. Since I don't have any custom settings, it should be all right. For the info of other users, it is kept in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\avidemux.

It would be nice if the developer add "no. of recent files to keep" in Settings and we can enter zero.
