I authored a DVD to add a new audio track (B), generating VOBs 1 to 5. The track B is 300 ms ahead, but ONLY in VOB 1. Other VOBs are perfectly in sync. How can I fix this only for the track B and only for VOB 1 without reencoding the video?

Demuxed original DVD with Pgcdemux (tried also DGIndex and VobEdit). Added a new .ac3 audio track. Remuxed everything back with IfoEdit (tried also Muxman, ReJig and DVDAuthor). Now the new track is out of sync ONLY in the first VOB.

For testing purposes, after demuxing I merged the .m2v file with the new audio track and I get out of sync a/v. When testing using the original VOB it gets perfectly in sync. It seems the problem is definitely in the demuxing process.

I'm sure you've checked but the audio is the same length as the video correct?

Also that seems like more work than should be necessary. I know in tda 2.0 you can change audio tracks easily. I'm sure there have to be free dvd authoring programs that can replace audio tracks without this much hassle.

I think avstodvd can do this. I know it can remove audio I'm nearly certain it can replace audio. Try also multiavchd - it can replace audio too and make an sd-dvd.

Is there any reason you demuxed the dvd in the first place? I'd rerip the original and start over. Insert it into one of the two programs I just mentioned and then simply replace the audio. Assuming the lengths are equal it should be a clean replacement.
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion since it remuxes with the original audio just fine. Right?

I'd be more likely to suspect a problem with the new audio. Anyway, I'd split it at the point where it gets back in synch, fix that first part in DelayCut by adding in the right delay, but at the same time keeping it the same length as originally (thus ensuring the second part remains in synch), and then reauthor using Muxman so you can add in the 2 parts separately using the 'Add' button.

I was able to manually adjust the delay for that specific video. Now I´m working with another movie and got the same problem, that´s getting annoying! I got A/V perfectly synchronized in Vegas, I can´t understand why it gets out of sync after remuxed... I´m sure audio and video are exactly the same length! What am I doing wrong??

I finally figured out what was going on. I was using HandBrake to create an .avi file in order to synchronize the new track, and this .avi was not exactly in sync with the DVD movie. I´m using FairUse now and the problem is gone.
