Hi all,
I have a slight problem which I hope somebody here can help me with. I use a Samsung C5500 BluRay player to stream video to my TV. FFW and RW are unavailable, but I can use arrow buttons to skip forwards/backwards in steps. However, I have a number of avi files where this is impossible and I assume this must be due to missing timing information. Is this a fair assumption?
If so, is there any way I can process the video files and insert new timing data into them? I know I can convert them of course, but I'd like to know if there is a way to avoid that and which is maybe faster than converting them would be?

There are a few AVI repair tools in the Tools section ( see menu to your left <-- ), however it might be as simple as loading the file into AVI Demux and letting it take whatever action it suggests, or loading them into Virtualdub and doing a Direct Stream Copy to a new container. If the issue is as simple as a damaged index then any of these should fix the problem.

Thanks a lot, I'll give that a go asap! I really do think it is just a matter of missing index data, since the files play perfectly both on the pc and through the BD player.
Thanks again!
