editing program - sd mpeg

hi im looking for an mpeg editing program that will allow me to add titles, inc overlay tiltes, add transitions, fade and make bits darker/lighter

any suggestions?

i currently create the mpegs using tmpg enc

yes it was 30 at fry's after rebates, 2 weeks ago. it's a fairly common piece of software to go on "sale".

Have you ever collected on one of those Fry's rebates? Or forget to send it in, or even remembered after eight weeks that you never got it? But you can't find the paperwork and even if you did, you have to be on hold for an hour and then an Indian call center answers, and they require you to restore your computer to factory default first. Hahaha.
