I'm trying to make XVCD of the movie Gladiator but running into a little problem.
Nero said that it's VCD2 and not suitable to record as VCD, plus when I play the VCD it play fine but I can't fastfoward it.
I'm going to list the steps that I did:
1st: Rip with smart ripper
2nd: Frame serving with DVD2AVI, I used Force Film because the auto detect said that it was FILM99% but instead of turning to 23.967 like it should it turned into 24.000, and showing the ratio is 16:9
3rd: I used TMPGEnc to encode using the VideoCD 1246kbps (NTSC) template, and the setting are as follow: (i'm just going to list the important one, and the bold word are the tabs)
Video
Aspect Ratio: 4:3 525 line (NTSC)
Frame Rate: 24
Rate Control Mode: CBR
Bitrate: 3000
Advance
Video Source Type: Interlace
Source Aspect Ratio: 16:9 525 line (NTSC)
Full Screen: Keep Aspect Ratio 2
Sorry for the long post but I need to get the facts in so you guys have enough info to help me.![]()

how do you know it turned into 24fps? encode 23.976 regardless, sync the audio if you have to. also, your source type is progessive after forced film
