Hi
What is the preferred format and revision for burning Xvid and Divx files over 1.5 gig onto DVD-R. Both my players quit at about 1 gig when format is ISO/Joliet. The players are toshiba and Philips.
Thanks

Save them into <1 GB segments with VirtualDub without reencoding the audio or video.
1) File -> Open Video File
2) Video -> Direct Stream Copy
3) File -> Save Segmented AVI (set size limit to 999 MB)
This will only take about 30 seconds. -
You can also try UDF, which supports larger file sizes. If you want to test it, burn to a re-writable disc because there is some chance your players may not like it. I'd use UDF 2.01 and not a higher version. I just suggest this as an alternative to splitting the files, but jagabo's suggestion will certainly solve your problem.
