Hi - I have just bought a Panasonic HDC-HS700. Lovely machine, but I'm not sure how to open the movie files on an Apple Mac (MacBook Pro, Intel processor, ISX 10.4.11). When I plug in the USB, two folders pop up: AVCHD and DCIM. Inside the ADCHD folder are further folders: IISVPL and BDMV. The BDMV one has some promising looking 'MTS' files in it, but when I try to open them with a piece of conversion software called MPEG Streamclip 1.9.2 for Mac OS X, it doesn't roll any movies. The instruction book to the camera says that 'HD Wrier AE 2.1 is not available for a Mac, but then says 'iMovie 09 supported' and implies that it should work with a Mac when it sets out minimum operating requirements which include OSX 10.5.8 which I am below. So perhaps the problem is just that I need to upgrade my operating software? Any advice gratefully received.
