mp4 video not playing for the full length in vlc player

i have downloaded some videos from youtube in mp4 format. only some of them stops playing at half way or so. means suppose a video has 4 min duration, it won't play after a certain period say two min. what may be the cause?other videos of the same dimension plays well in vlc.

Try play with smplayer or mpchc.


You could also try repair the mp4 with yamb or mp4muxer, open the mp4 and make a new mp4.
