I'd like to introduce a dvd recorder in my chain between the video mixer and my computer that's streaming the feed.
I do see that most dvd recorders have outputs on them, but do the outputs work while the dvd recorder is recording? or is it for playback?

I've never used a dvd recorder.
I'm just looking to make a hard copy of what gets streamed - i'm a little nervous to trust the computer to stream and capture at the same time...

    Thanks in advance!

Mine does & i'm sure they all do, otherwise you would not be able to see what you are recording.

  3. All the ones I've see have live passthrough of the signal that's being recorded.

live passthrough, cool. i had no idea what to call it so that helps thanks!
Anyone with any experience doing this?

Am I correct in saying i have a better chance of not getting any glitches doing it this way rather than having my computer do it while it streams?
