Hi everyone !
Now I just came across the -partitions parameter in FFMPEG. I shall eventually test its effects on encoding, but I thought maybe someone could impart some quick insight as of how it influences the quality of the product ?
I saw there are (so far) five possible values to this parameter : parti4x4, parti8x8, partp4x4, partp8x8 and partb8x8. I think I understand basically how it influences the way macroblocks are considered, but what I'm interested in is whether some of these flags are made to respond to precise standards, which ones are better suited for quality, which ones are better suited for speed, and which ones should produce the lightest/most heavy files ?
Thank you for any advice that can be spared !![]()
