i'm using DVD Decrypter to make VOBs so that i can backup/watch my dvd movies to/from my NAS. was using free version of VOB2MPG to make mpg's with no problem. was happy, and wanted the speed increase, so decided to pay for pro. uninstalled free one, installed pro, registered, and program opens without a problem.

when i import a dvd on my HDD (post dvd decrypter) in IFO mode, loads the info (no preview however). when i hit start extraction, it freezes after posting the time at the bottom of the screen, although the program allows me to click on everything within it. i opened resource monitor in Win7, and VOB2MPG.exe is using 25% of my CPU continuously (one core), even after i hit cancel, until i close the program completely. tried a reboot - no difference. then did via VOBSET and it worked fine, but this is what i did with the free version. i changed nothing in between free version and installing pro. i attached the log file. Please help!

interesting... seems it was one particular movie this occured with. a different one went ok; my bad. maybe someone can answer this for me: assuming using DVD decrypter to select only the main movie title to form the VOB's (and copying the IFO files over), what is the difference in using IFO mode vs. VOBSET mode in VOB2MPG PRO? the final mpg file seems to be the same. is only the IFO mode "3x faster" as is indicated on the comparison graph on the download page?
