Is it normal that it takes 14 hours to convert a 150 MB AVI file to MPEG (with panasonic mpeg1 encoder)??

Is it 150 MB or 150 GB ?
Want to make sure first.
If it is 150 MB, Want to know your system configuration.

ouch!! pentium II 266mhz with only 64mb ram. encoding will be slow. how much audio/video (how many minutes) in that 150mb avi file? is it a divx avi? if so, stay away from divx until you upgrade your CPU/machine. the divx codec/format is the most CPU intensive of all the codecs available.

usually the utility you load it in has a "properties" or "file info" menu item you can select to look at the specifics of your avi.
