I created a .AVI file using VideoTagger. I opened up FFMPEGX and chose the H.264 format. I want to use the file in the timeline of my final cut pro project.

When I hit Encode, it encodes super fast then I go to play the movie and it only encoded the first frame.

Is there anything I need to change in the setting so it encodes the entire 4 min project?

VideoTagger (the free version I tried) makes an unusual kind of movie, which is is a series of JPEG or PNG images, which is only understood as a movie by QuickTime Player, but ffmpegX only sees the first frame.
However, exporting from QuickTime worked well.

For end titles in Final Cut, there is LiveType for FCE, which has now been replaced by Motion 4 in FCP. Motion can do a whole lot more than basic rolling end credits, but you can still do just that.
