i was looking at the PixelView PlayTV HD and wondering if anybody has it and if it's any good. also the Leadtek WinFast TV2000 XP. these cards are software encoders, right? the pixelview says it uses a conexant chip, but it doesn't say which.

it uses the new 10-bit CX23881 chip,
the best hardware you can get,
not sure of its software/driver support is the best though,
heard the latest release, driver 1.09 (18th Oct), fixed the remote issue,
i will be buying one of these cards once a cheque clears.
in theory with the 10-bit ship it should be a top card, but does the software (apps and drivers) support the great hadware??
time will tell.
PS i bought the Winfast, it uses the 8-bit bt878 card and its capture quality is sub par other bt878 cards i have used (AverMediaTV Studio)
displaying TV only is fine though and the software is nice.AMD 64 X2 6000+ @3,000 Mhz (stock) | MSI K9N Ultra | Corsair Value/Kingston 6,144MB DDR 667 | 8800GT stock | 3710GB of storage | Powered by Mandriva 2009.1
