    Hiya.

I've been trying to figure out how to get my video off my computer because I don't like watching movies on my laptop. I'm basically using large AVI movie files. At first I was trying to convert them to DVD format, burn them, then watch them. But no matter what program I used or how much I paid for it, all my video came out with skips in it. Not many skips, but enough to ruin some of the movies.

So recently I started messing with Vuzes media streaming to try and stream my videos to my ps3. Basically I've discovered so far that with both Vuze and Tversity, all of my videos will have grabs or catches in exactly the same spot every time. Doesn't matter what program I use to stream, always the same catches, always the same spots.

When I watch the AVI's from windows media player on my laptop, they play fine....... WTF is that S?

    Try ps3 media server.

IF no difference then give more information. What is the avi video framerate? Identify using mediainfo. It can cause some jerkiness.

scratch that. I came back to watch the movie later and its catching worse than it ever has.

    the framerate is 25.00 fps.......
I'm not sure what else the problem could be. Can't be the signal quality on my wireless, everything is in the same room...

Tried the transcode folder on the media server but that was no help...

actually it looks like this transcoded version is gonna play ok.
