  1. I'm recording some lectures from a seminar. Here's a picture of what I'm talking about:

Now, my question would be: How can I remove those various pops with Audacity? I've tried messing with each of the tools a little bit (...for around 3 hours...) and wasn't able to find the solution myself.

Also, I wanted to add how grateful I am to all of you who answer these types of questions. I've googled some questions through the years...This site, with all it's helpful members, has always been a fantastic resource. Thank you, and keep up the good work!

'Click Removal' in Audacity doesn't help? It removes high volume level/short duration sounds like clicks and pops. You set the threshold for levels and the width for the length of the click.

But someone else here may have a better method. It would also help to post a short representative audio clip and one of our members may be able to try some expirements on it.

    And welcome to our forums.

It removes some of the clicks, unfortunately not all of them.

It was at those points where someone would be coughing right next to me, or the shuffling of papers, etc.
