i ahve a client that wants his footage in 'dv' format so that he can edit on his mac

im using mpeg streamclip and im thinking that the least lossy and most likely to be compatible format that i could convert it into would be
.mov files 100% quality apple dv-pal for example

is that right or should i convert to .dv format -which from doing a trial seems to produce smaller files so im guessing would be a lower quality output??

i'd guess he's talking about DVavi - 720x576 for pal. if that's what the mov files are send him a sample and get approval.

Yeah, for a Mac, I think it's just a .dv file. I don't think you can convert it to .dv on a PC. Best to go with .mov.
