I know many people use thier workstation for both audio and video programs. I am running Samplitude on XP, very fast PC. I use the RME Firefox 800 as my audio interface. I have many plug ins and VSTI programs like BFD2, Ivory and 2 UAD cards.
I have Sony Vegas 7 installed on the machine. I was just wondering if there could be any conflicts or that using vegas could mess up my digital audio workstation setup. Would Sony Vegas use the RME Fireface. I once read you select two channels to use with Vegas as the Firefox has 8 channel inputs. I have to much time invested in my audio PC to take a chance, but if it would be reasonably safe then I might use the same box for audio recording and video editing.
Thanks

should work fine. vegas is a pretty independent program and won't change anything. but you never know for sure so clone an image of your boot drive on a backup drive so you can restore it or at least create a windows restore point first..
