Can't cut part with vdubmod?

Well, I'm trying to cut out an fbi warning on a xvid, i cut so it doesn't show up when i play it on my Xbox360 with vdubmod, but when i select the part i want to cut and go up to cut etc and press play (in vdub) it's still showing up and the direct stream copy still has the warnings as well?
Tried a few times, but it just doesn't seem to be cutting it, i've used this same way to trim a few mbs off movies before so i know im doing it, but anyone know why it won't work and what to use?

Direct Stream Copy mode can only start a saved segment with a keyframe. Hold down the shift key while navigating through the video and VirtualDub will only stop on key frames (also marked iwith a "K" in the status area). If you mark in on a non keyframe VirtualDub will silently move the mark in point to the nearest keyframe before the mark in point. For frame accurate edits you need to reencode cut GOPS. Use Full Processing mode and Smart Rendering.
