Ok. Background info:
Machine: HP Laptop w/Athalon 4 CPU
OS: WinXP Home
RAM:Unknown
DVD: Fast and the Furious NTSC
Ripped using: Smartripper 2.41
Audio extracted using: DVD2AVI 1.76
Encoded using: TMPGEnc 2.53
Ok, I ripped the movie and got the VOB files. I then run the VOB files through DVD2AVI 1.76, and get an AC3 audio track(thought that I was supposed to get a .WAV from all the guides I read, but anyway).
Encode 40mins of the movie in MPEG2. Play it using both Windows Media Player 8 AND WinDVD and the audio/video starts going a-synch. It starts off for the first 15 minutes as synched, but when it got to the part where Brian has lost and Dom is talking, the audio comes in before the video.
How do I fix that? I just deleted the first file, and am re-encoding with a 5ms delay.
If I get the same problem, how do I fix it without re-encoding the movie? I'm getting frustrated
Is there another version of DVD2AVI that I should use or what?
Thanks.
