Video came from Panasonic HVX-200 and P2 cards. It was evidently then converted to .mov files on a Mac.

I can play them in my Edius Pro timeline, but the sum of clips in the timeline do not run as long as they should. Also, they will play smoothly, but skip ahead several seconds every once in a while. I don't know what I need to play it.

I used Media Info on the file below:

    Complete name : I:\BTS"BEN\BTS\0002IK.mov

it's no longer dvchd pro. the mac has converted it to FCP DVCPRO HD and there is no pc codec for it. have them re-send uncompressed if you need to work on it using a pc.

So you're saying this is exclusive to FCP? That at least gives me some conclusion with it.

    Thanks.
