  1. Hello, I'm wondering what you consider to be the best program to convert VOB files to other files, whether it be to AVI, MP4 or what have you. Whichever program delivers the highest video quality would be ideal.

    Staxrip, handbrake or Xvid4psp. All free and are based on similar free software so you should get same quality. And to avoid sync problems be sure to choose to load dvd in the software and select the folder with the vob,ifo files.

    VOB files are only one part of the entire DVD structure.

    Hi, I use DVD Shrink to edit the files first.

    Doesn't matter. If what DVDShrink gives you contains more than one VOB, then taking only one of those is a huge mistake.

    Just choose the folder that dvd shrink creates with Handbrake or StaxRip or Xvid4PSP or AutoGk. Or else might you get wrong audio track, subtitle and audio sync problems.
