    I have some videos in various formats and I want to hear the 5.1 and DTS sources when I stream them to my XBOX. Is there any software available that will allow me to use my video card to re-encode this?

    I haven't done this sort of thing in a few years, I'm guessing there are some new ways to do it.

    the only consumer grade software that i know of that will allow you to use a gpu to accelerate wmv encoding is espresso and you won't get 5.1 or DTS out of it.
