I'm looking to strip down and re-author some of my DVD collection, but there's 2 big issues.

I'm losing shelf space from my store-bought collection, for one thing. I know some people like those binder sleeves, but I really like having something solid displayed on a shelf (the reason for my thrift store VHS collection. So, YEAH.). One way I see of getting by this is getting some cheap wire shelves.

Then, it's a matter of finding cases for the burned videos. Anyone spend time trying to print covers for custom videos? I've been using those extra-fragile slim jewel cases for years, but I'd move on up to DVD clamshells if I could find a way to print good-quality covers (actually, if I could print slim covers for some of my existing collection, I'd free up a lot of the shelf!)

I've also seen what they call the "Super Jewel" cases, that'd look pretty nice for some attention-grabbing covers. A little pricey, but supposed to be durable, and the one I saw didn't exactly look flimsy. Anyone have anything good to say about them?

Finally, what sort of media do you prefer to write to? I bought some 8.5 DVDs for the sake of AVCHD and collecting some lost TV shows, but for some projects I find I can whittle them down below even a 4.7 disc. Do you find it's worth all the unused space for smaller videos?

In case of DVD DL media you should choose Verbatim MKM media, also some Falcon are reliable, anything else is a shot in the dark..........
