  1. I have a series of FLV (but non-YouTube) videos that I downloaded. On first viewing after downloading, the worked flawlessly, with no seek issues.

However, the next day I noticed majority of the videos either don't play (there is only a green display) or of the 30-minutes of the entire video, it only goes as far as the first 5 minutes and it just stops. Attepmting to manually seek past the freeze point gives the "cannot seek" error. This is regardless of the player that I am using.

These videos are from a music instruction site that is only available with subscription. I downloaded them right before my account was about to expire, so I don't have the chance to access them anymore. I don' t understand how they could have become courropted on their own.

I'd greatly appreciate any advice you may have on how to restore these videos, as the subscription price is very hefty and I have already paid it once.

Try repair them by run them through for example avidemux, open flv, under video and audio choose copy, save as new flv or mp4.
