    Wanted to create a restore point before installing a new programme..got to system restore and it would no let me type a restore point name..Windows XP SP 3




    so decided to look at the restore points..and got this!




    went to system properties and it states system restore is on



    Any ideas please?

    Ok, first thing - Is the date and time calendar set for the correct date ??

    Ok i went to windows update site and had a few items to install and the problem seems to have rectified itself.
