I know it's not selecting a range of files and automatically converting them, but AVIDemux does seem to support setting up multiple encode tasks one at a time through the 'joblist.'

The problem with Handbrake is you can't save settings. You need to start over each time. But it does batch.

where do i have to look in avidemux to make a joblist.
I like avidemux, it's fast, it allows you to trim, crop, colorcorrection, ...

I was more thinking of batch where you load all files and click convert. Done.

all he files need different processing, some cropping, some scaling, some colorcorrection, some everything together

MPEG Streamclip does batch (and it can work with one file dropped into the list at a time so each file has different settings).

Handbrake's settings can be saved as a preset. I do it all the time.
