Go on then I'm game for a laugh.

When registering with this forum, I chose lots, all were rejected so in the end I typed "letmeinforgodsake" and it excepted it

Since then I have asked to change it to "letmeoutforgodsake"

  4. Mine was just a random word I thought of. Also happens to be the name of my website.

  5. Mine comes from a doll I gave a girlfriend of mine many years ago. The reason it stuck in my head, I guess, is because she was the absolutely best looking girl I have ever dated and it is was with her that I was "de-flowered".

She named this goofy looking doll I gave her Gribnitz and I thought it was a strange name and have remembered it ever since. So far, I have never had any problems trying to use it and it being in use, so I use it all the time.

    Mine is my name.
My *real* name that is. It's offbeat enough to use since it's in short supply in my neck of the woods. In fact the only other Mudie's I've ever known are members of my family. My Grandfather dragged it across the pond with him from Bristol England in the early part of the last Century.

As for pronunciation it's best displayed phonetically as Meeyoodee I guess. A long "u" like in music.

Many people call me Moody including co-workers I've known for 15 years now... I've given up on trying to correct them.

Some of the more interesting variants I've heard are MUDee and NUDEee.

The one that amazes me the most is when someone (more than once) who doesn't know me reads my correctly spelled name off a sheet of paper and pronounces it "Monday". I've heard of a silent "e", but an invisible "N"?!

    Whatever.

I got mine from a Warren Beatty movie of the same name like back in '97. I had been using the same handle for so many forums that too many people were recognizing me.
