Hi,
I have a sony HDR-CX350E Camera that shoots 1080 50i ( Pal ) & just installed FCP 7 on my new mac,
I have a lot of video's to edit & upload so really want to make sure i do this right so i don't have to edit anything twice
i'd like to edit the videos in the best quality and save them external hardrives as back up
Then i'll watermark them and save them in as lesser quaility files for web sites
in audio/video settings i select:
Sequance preset: HDV - 1080i50
Capture Preset: HDV
Device Control: Sony HDV 1080i50 FireWire
Video Playback: None
Audio Playback: Default
Is this correct ?
i have managed to save edited video as .mov but can only export it as a very big file so im guessing thats full HD and i have used the youtube option which is ok for websites like that i guess.. but the size is 1280 x 720 so i guess looses a lot of quality
In imovie there is an large 960 x 540 option that says is not much less quality but saves lots of space, this is the type of size / quality i'd like to save the video as, can anybody tell me how i can save to this size / quality in FCP ?
i have compressor but so many options its very confusing, also i heard i could save as wmv in FCP but not seen this option either..
Any help & advice much appreciated
Thanks
Floyd
