I've been editing some home made VHS material which was captured via a Canopus ADVC110. Two of these sources files appear to have other video and audio material "overlayed" on the original. I can't figure out what's happening. These files were never edited previous to this. I tried deleting the .veg file and allowing it to be rebuilt, with no luck.

I'm attaching a sample image. The video and audio tracks for these problem files have weird blue curved lines running through them, two lines in both video and audio.

The confusing part is that when I play these videos through Media Player they look and sound fine.

  2. It looks like a crossfade or some transition ... Did you drag 1 clip to the timeline (in a brand new project) and it appeared like that ?

What does mediainfo say about the 2 files? And it's only 2 files that "act" like that? the others are fine ?

Sorry for the late reply, was out of town for a bit. Does mediainfo do the same thing as Gspot? I ask because I looked at these problem files in Gspot but couldn't see any indication of multiple video streams.

It's only these two AVI files.
