  1. I have a Sony HC9 camcorder. Is there a way I can recorde to both the miniDV tape AND a flash drive at the same time? I know about the nanoflash and the FS-H200.. Any other solutions?

Sony makes the HVRDR60 hard disc recorder.

You can also direct record to any Win/Mac with a Firewire port.

  3. Thanks edDV, that does look like a possible solution..

I guess another would be the Sony HVR-MRC1 (basically same as the hard disc recorder, but uses flash memory instead..

Why aren't there any camcorders that record to tape AND flash memory at the same time? Archive on tape, but already have your footage digitized and ready to use on the flash memory.. I would love someting like that..

Current solutions are more expensive, XDCAM-EX can be configured for dual recording (flash not tape).
