I am just about to do major changes to the way I shoot and edit. Currently I shoot on Digital Betacam (tape) and edit on Avid Media Composer 3.0 - Next week I am purchasing the XDCAM EX3 and will upgrade my PC and Media Composer to .5 - I am wondering if there is anyone out there who has done the same? I would love to hear how the change went and the benefits. I obviously need to do some research to understand how I shoot (frame rates and aspects) and how I bring that into the Avid...advice would be great.
