Hi
Several months ago i changed my password to my computer. I'm the administrator.
Now i went to change my password again or to take it off and the whole thing doesn't work.
I go to Control Panel and to User Accounts and its just a white blank box that pops up that has the words BACK and HOME at the top.
I shut down, restarted but same thing. I cant view any account information at all.
I cant create a new account, cant change my picture, cant change or even view anything!
please help.
I have Windows XP Home Edition. Version 2002, service pack 3.
Please Help.

Its not very safe to use the administrator account.. Create an administrator account to fall back on if any problems occur and also create another account with administrator privileges to use for your everyday account.
I don't know why this would be happening so I just suggest you do a scan with Malwarebytes anti-malware to be sure you PC is not infected and post back with the results.
EDIT: check to see if you can see the account and edit it by going to control panel, system, advance tab, user profile settings. -
I clicked on the user profile and i can see the one account this computer has but it doesn't give me any option's to edit it. I double click on it and a box pops up with two options asking what the operating system should use, either local profile or roaming profile. its selected as local profile and the other option isn't highlighted so i cant select it. & at the bottom it just says that to make another account go to user accounts.
I'll try that Malwarebytes anti-malware you suggested and come back. -
Try this:
Click Start, and then click Run
In the Open box, type/copy paste: control userpasswords2 -

Most likely the first thing to pop up in google search ... it's not malwarebytes but antimalware pro ... utter rubbish.
Only use the correct link
====
Safe mode > administration only ... then reset accounts.
The default administration account is never shown in normal logon unless it was set to do so.
====
Not much fun when no accounts are listed but you might try reading down through this link and see if any of the information can help solve the problem and restore the accounts .

For clearing passwords this is always handy > offline NT password & Registry Editor
