The "bin" file is an image of a cd, normally you would load that image into a cdr writing program like CDRWIN.

You could use a "ISO Buster" to view or extract its contents, but the best method is to burn it to cd.

The bin image will contain a snapshot of the cd it came from, that could be a VCD or CDR music or video disk, or even a data disk.

  5. Cd mate will burn the bin file too, use image file to cdrecorder and press record, but if the game wasnt copied properlyit may not play as it is protected.
And if you dont own the original it is illegal to backup this!
For a list of protected games submitted by users backed up by cd mate check out www.cd-mate.com/database/

Well if I was you I would learn a little about these ISO files, it will help next time if you get a .cif or a .nrg or a whole lot more.

Identifying the type of image you have will help you chose the best method to duplicate what the person who made the image intented.

Sometimes if you extract the files to your hard drive so that you can use a different program to burn, will destroy its integrity and render the disk useless. Always try to burn the image direct by loading into one of the mentioned programs.

FIFA 2002 ?, gosh is that still going... try www.gamecopyworld.com full to the brim on helpful hints on backing up your original copy.

  7. Ahh the beauty of Cd Mate, it doesnt limit itself to its own images
Will burn bin/cue, iso, bwt, ccd, cmi.
Theres more to backing up protected games than meets the eye, your reader and writer needs to be capable also!

All writers can backup protected games, you just need to know what protection they have used so you can defeat it !

Where do you get your information from?
Of course all writers cant back up protected games!!
Oh you might be talking about adding patches etc?
Why would you want to do that if you can get a perfect backup with a writer that is capable of backing up games.
And no ALL writers cannot backup protected games!

Why would you want a "perfect" copy?. Who wants to copy thousands of zeros, reverse sectors, hot spots, meaningless file allocation tables ?. They all have nothing to do with the program or game.

Who would wants to purchase a new writer because the mode they want is not available. When all disks can be copied with any writer and the protection "Easily" defected.

The only difference between a patched game and the original, is the program that tests its security, the rest of the data is exactly the same. I guess the only people who would want to make a facsimile of a game would be those selling games but don't want anyone to copy their copies....
