there a several ways to put video to cd and the best way depends on your needs.
as to burning the whole project, you have to keep all the footage for it to be worth anything... do you really think you'll reuse them? if so than save it elsewise just save the final video. -
true...i probably won't use the footage...
so...umm...with what way should i put the final product onto cd?
thanx for your help -
excoelis, I just purchased some extra DV tapes and exported my finished project back to DV, seems to be about the best idea I could come up with until I can get that new DVD-RW.

well i kinda agree with excoelis except that when i do video they are usually small enough to fit on a normal cd as a minidvd. but transfering back to mini dv is a good idea as long as you make sure you don't put it neer anywhere where there might be magnetic fields (speakers, computers large electronic in general). My mini dvds are very high quality (2 pass vbr 8000-5500-3500(iput maximum bitrate at 8000 cause any higher and you lose all but the most powerfull computers )

anyone wanna send a DVD-RW drive my way?
mini dv is cool too...too bad i don't have a mini dv camera and tapes...
well...i have a 7 minute project and i wanna just be able to put that onto cd to keep. i've tried just exporting it with all it's fixings into .avi format. bad idea...gig and a half...
now i just want to keep as much quality as i can...and get it to at least less than 700MB...
so...please...any ideas? -
make a mini dvd (or at least dvd bitrate mpeg) you'll probably have a file about 250-300meg so it'll fit on a cd with high quality.

load dvd template in tmpegenc, use a 2 pass vbr(longer but worth it(in my opinion), i use 3500 lowest, 5500 average, 8500 highest) or 8000kbps cbr.
