Help needed in converting SVCD to VCD!!

A friend of mine gave me a SVCD-movie on 2 cds but since it's only 80 min long i want to convert it to VCD.
Here is my problem.
I can play mpeg-2 on my PC, but this movies can't be played from the CD. I have to Get the file by using "ISOBUSTER" which is Okay since I want to join the 2 files. But... but the files are weird WMP won't open them, only AsusDVD 200, DVD2AVI makes a useless project, VFAPI won't open it. I found out that the streaming is mpeg-2 program (VBR) and not SVCD (VBR), if I try to make the stream into something usefull (SVCD) TMPGenc stops at 140mb out of 787mb. FlaskMpeg wont even try to open it.
What can I do about it? It must be posible to be convert/edit/do-something about thise files.

I solved the problem by using DVD2AVI 1.85 (a modifide version)
