I found that effects like "old film" do not adhere to the video track you place them on. Instead they go to the top of the editing timeline (in the TEXT/EFFECT track) and BLOCK the video track, instead of overlaying. I've followed the "help" manual on several other effects, with great success. What's the deal with "old film"?
